How to Choose a Solar Charger for Laptop Battery

Author: jackdrogba

Are you tired of your phone shutting down in the middle of an important call? Are you fed up with your laptop powering off right when you need it? Looking for a portable solar collector for a long camping trip? If you are tired of your electrical gadgets dying right when you need them the most, then you will love a solar laptop charger. There are a number of solar laptop chargers on the market, but not all of them are created equal. And now, I will share my solar power notebook charger experience. Hope it can help you.

Find a Balance between Portability and Power
When looking for a solar powered panel for your laptop, size is a big concern. Nobody would like to take a big and heavy solar power panel when traveling. However, you need to make a balance between portability and power. If you use your notebook for little time, just choose a solar panel without internal batter. And if you want a powerful solar charger, a solar gadget with build in battery (at least 40W/h capacity) is a fine solution.

Solar Panel Peak Power and Out-Put Power
Keep in mind that makes sure that the peak power supplied by photocell is not less than 1.2W. For example, if you choose a solar gadget with 3.7V/12000mAh battery and 1W peak power, it will spend you at least 44 hours to charge your solar battery completely in sun. About out put power, there is a direct correlation between size and output. Power ranges from 10 to 30 watts. For example, a 25 Watt solar panel will completely charge the 400Wh internal battery providing up to 6 hours of runtime for a 25 Watt Laptop while 5-6 hours of sun will charge the battery halfway for 3 hours of runtime.

Compatibility and Safety Protection
Solar battery panel can work with most of laptops such as HP, ACER, SONY and etc. However, maybe there is a compatibility problem with Dell laptop charging connection. There are much complaints about the laptops not recognizing the supply. Dell is about the only OEM to use the signal. Abuse of the power cord can result in a broken signal lead. So, before you buy a charger, keep in mind that require for the compatibility issues. As safety protection, make sure extra electricity is never sent to your electronic devices, and short circuit protection– to protect your electronics when accidentally connected with an incompatible adapter tip. Just choose a charger with overload protection and short circuit protection safety features. General info

- The tour operates with minimum 2 persons – prices are quoted in Euro per person. The White Desert is richness and variety of Egyptian landscape is endless. At least if you ever decide to visit the White Desert, that’s the message you’ll get. It is a vast stretc of land in the Western Desert that borders Bahariya egypt Oasis to the north and Al-Farafra to the south. The snow-white desert is actually made of chalk that has been exposed for years to what geologists call “differential weathering,” the erosion of soft particles that results in eerie protrusions of hard rock. This explains the very beautiful forms that now fill the White Desert including shapes like domes, minarets, castles, towers and so forth. The destination has proved a great attraction to all travelers who camp in the few oases, watch the fauna and flora and enjoy the mild winter weather. Shallow water levels allow for modest vegetation and wildlife. One example is the Cairo University Oasis which comprises only one palm and a few green trees, used by academics and students to rest and eat. The desert could be a great safari area.

Essential Camping Gear

Author: Jennifer Quilter

If you’re headed off on your first camping trip you might not be sure what to bring to have a good time. Having the right basic equipment can be the difference between having a good time or heading home early from a bad trip. The essential camping gear listed below will give you a good idea of what you should really have for a basic trip into the woods.

A tent and sleeping bag are the first, basic essentials. Try and find a waterproof tent, and if you’re in an area where it rains a lot consider getting some tarps to put both on the ground below your tent and hang it in the trees above. Getting all wet is an absolutely miserable way to spend the night. As for the sleeping bags, there is a reason these are so popular instead of just bringing a normal blanket. The bag keeps the blanket all the way around you, which helps keep in warmth. This is very important when sleeping outdoors because it’s bound to be colder at night than when you’re sleeping at home. A comfortable nights rest can be the difference between fun days of hiking and adventure, and miserable days complaining about how tired you are and how your body aches.

Which leads well into the next thing you’ll need–an air mattress. A lot of people say that if you’re not sleeping on the ground, you’re not really roughing it. That’s all well and good, in theory, but it’s another thing when your back hurts and you’re tired and not enjoying your days because of your miserable nights. To really experience the outdoors and all it has to offer you, you need some essential camping gear, like an air mattress. As mentioned above, a comfortable nights rest is extremely important for a good trip.

The last thing you absolutely need for a good time is a basic first aid kit. When you’re out in the woods it’s very easy to get hurt, and while a simple band aid can make everything ok, not having one can get your simple cut full of dirt and germs and then your simple cut becomes a big mess. A simple first aid kit can solve a lot of problems for you.

With these simple items of essential camping gear you’ll ensure that you’re able to have a good time and be well taken care of while experiencing the outdoors.

Enormous Thoughts for a Fun Backyard Camping Event

Author: Maryam Getz

Backyard camping is one of those events that most families enjoy. Tenting out, roasting marshmallows over a camp fire, and disbursement a night under the stars can make an unforgettable backyard encampment event for the total family. Here are some ideas to make sure camping in your backyard is the most fun possible.
Analyze
Visit the library or bookstore for books regarding camping activities before announcing that you will be camping in the backyard. There are many books uncommitted in the market today that include new inventive tips on how to cook over a campfire. Included in the books are also tips and games for your kids to enjoy backyard camping more. This is also a great way to introduce camping to them for the first time.
Tent set up
Having a tent is honorable, though it’s not entirely essential. Kids have been known to enjoy making forts, and just a little creativity, those universal blue tarps can be turned into a great tent. Sleeping bags are fine, but they are not entirely essential. Blankets, duvets or comforters can do the job, as long as the temperatures at night stay warm enough. An inflatable mattress can also make the kids comfortable.
However, if you have a tent ready, setting this up must be done on an area that is flat, dry and free of stones and tree roots. A good place for the tent would be near an entrance or in a direct path to an entrance to the house. Let the kids participate in the setting up process for this would get them excited and they would eventually look forward to more traditional outdoor camping.
Before evening falls
Take advantage of a hot day before it gets dark by playing board games outside such a ‘monopoly’ or water games like ‘battle ship dip’. This is an exciting way to get the evening of the backyard camping started. Kids enjoy games involving water wet and it’s a fun way to cool off on a day that is hot.
Camp fire and cooking
If your location or place allows it, you can build a campfire and cook over it. An outdoor camping grill can be used for cooking if a campfire is not possible in the backyard. Hotdogs and hamburgers are the all time favorites for camping. Try using foil packs in the fire to try out something different. Layer the potatoes (thin sliced), seasoning, meat and vegetables in the foil, wrap and cook over the fire. Once done, don’t forget the marshmallows!
Enjoy movies
Using a long outdoor extension cord, a small television can be place inside the tent for the entire family to watch movies. Kids love watching movies outdoors! Popcorn can be nibbled while watching movies.
One of the appropriate parts of camping on your backyard is that your home is just few steps away. Younger kids who are not used to sleep outside can easily make it back to their rooms if the need arises. Most of all, if the weather turns bad; you can immediately find a room in your house and clear it out to continue the fun indoors.
